UN Global Compact: Before the First Frame, There Was Trust.
Eight animated compliance training videos on everyday integrity, delivered in Portuguese, Spanish and English for the UN Global Compact Network Brazil’s Agroindustry Anti-Corruption Collective Action.
The context: a principle that needs a person
The UN Global Compact asks businesses to align their strategies and operations with ten principles. The tenth principle states that businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery, and the Global Compact’s guidance encourages collective action among companies and other stakeholders, because some risks are easier to face together than alone. That matters especially in sectors with long supply chains, where many companies share the same partners, the same risks and, in the end, the same reputation.
In Brazil, that idea took shape in the Agroindustry Anti-Corruption Collective Action of the UN Global Compact Network Brazil, which brings companies from the sector together around integrity. Among its initiatives, the collective action developed a guide of anti-corruption good practices and a practical campaign to bring it to life: eight animated videos about the dilemmas people face in everyday business.
That campaign became “No fundo você já sabe”, in English roughly “Deep Down, You Already Know”. The title, the campaign and the guide belong to the collective action. Our part was the production of the eight episodes.
Trust before the brief
At a meeting connected with the UN Global Compact, participating companies were asked to nominate a video production company by vote. Olive Tree Films received the majority. Among the companies we remember voting for us was Citrosuco. A vote is not a pitch: each company put its own judgment behind a name.
“My heart exploded with emotion. In that moment, the team saw the result of the good work OTF had delivered for so many years. I believe this is the mark we want to leave on the world: to do our work with excellence, as if it were for God.”
Personal reflection shared by Olive Tree Films about the vote

The challenge: integrity in ordinary moments
Integrity rarely fails in dramatic scenes. It is tested in ordinary ones: a gift from a supplier, a request for a donation, a conversation with a public official, a conflict of interest nobody has named yet. The campaign’s educational purpose was to depict situations like these, help people recognize possible misconduct and show ways to respond. A principle had to reach someone in the middle of a working day.
That is an audiovisual challenge with a human center. Compliance content can easily sound like a lecture, and a serious subject can easily become heavy. The series had to stay clear and respectful, cover eight different areas of working life, keep each episode understandable on its own while belonging to one collection, and work in Portuguese, Spanish and English. And it had to honor the trust that came with the vote.

The insight: speak to the person, not about them
The campaign title placed the viewer close to the question. “No fundo você já sabe” sounds like an invitation to pause and examine a decision, and that reading gave the work its creative direction: integrity as an act of attention, not a rule to memorize. Something is happening, a choice needs to be made, and the viewer is invited to consider it.
The series’ emphasis on everyday dilemmas supported that closeness. Short episodes gave each subject a focused way in, and recognizable business conduct carried the educational purpose. The goal was proximity: material people could watch, recognize themselves in and discuss with their teams.
“No fundo você já sabe” is the integrity campaign of the Agroindustry Anti-Corruption Collective Action, connected to the initiative’s guide of anti-corruption good practices. We produced and delivered its eight short animated episodes, a series also described in a production release published by Terra.
The trailer is public. The full episodes are available on request.

A serious subject, an understandable form
Our educational work brings together instructional design, writing, art direction, illustration and editing, and a subject like this needs all of them. The meaning has to stay clear. The visuals have to support the subject instead of decorating it. The narrative has to give the viewer a way into a situation they may face at work.
For this campaign, the confirmed output is a coordinated series of eight animated episodes. We describe the multidisciplinary capability without inventing a credit sheet, because the record does not assign every responsibility to a named person. What can be said clearly is the creative responsibility: help turn an important institutional purpose into accessible audiovisual material. There is dignity in that kind of work, and the care that goes into making the episodes mirrors the care they ask of the people watching.

We do not claim the campaign title, the guide or the institutional message, and we do not claim any accreditation or supplier status with the United Nations. Our credit is the production of the eight episodes, confirmed by our own records and connected to the campaign documented by the UN Global Compact Network Brazil.
The experience: trust we had to honor
Most projects start with a brief. This one started with a vote. Companies were putting their own judgment behind a name, and for our team that collective confidence felt like years of careful work being recognized before a single frame of this project existed. The personal reflection above, shared by Olive Tree Films and translated from Portuguese, captures what that moment meant: excellence as an expression of faith, care and responsibility.
That conviction gave the work its standard. A team chosen through the confidence of the participating companies, producing a campaign about integrity, had every reason to treat each episode with care. The trust became work we were responsible for honoring, through eight episodes and three language versions. In a project about integrity, the way the work is done is part of the message, and we wanted every delivery to reflect that.
