Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Video Production
Films for patients, physicians and employees, planned around medical, legal and regulatory review from the first draft.
Trusted by Novartis, Roche, AstraZeneca, GSK, Sanofi and Takeda.

For pharma teams
Every script, rough cut and final cut is planned around your MLR or PRC review, with the time it needs already in the schedule.
No surprises at the review committee.
Films that pass review and still move people.
Healthcare video production is the planning and production of films for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and healthcare organizations, made to inform patients, educate healthcare professionals and align employees in an industry where every statement is reviewed before it is published. The craft is the same as in any other sector. The difference is the process around it: claims that need references, safety information that must be balanced, and review committees that read every frame.
Pharmaceutical video production splits into two worlds that rarely share a budget. Promotional content, such as brand and disease awareness films for physicians or patients, goes through Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) or Promotional Review Committee (PRC) review and, in the United States, must respect FDA rules on fair balance. Non-promotional content, from medical affairs education to corporate, investor and employee films, follows different rules but is reviewed just as carefully. We plan each project for the world it belongs to from the first conversation.
Most of our healthcare clients are global companies with affiliates in many countries, and each affiliate reviews content against local codes. A film approved in Basel or London still has to pass review in Brazil, Japan or the United States. That is why we plan versions, languages and local review rounds before the shoot, not after the global cut is locked.
Audiences shape every decision. A patient film needs plain language, warmth and enough time for people who may be anxious or unwell. A film for physicians needs precise terminology, data on screen and respect for their time. A film for employees and future hires needs the energy of the lab and the plant, and a film for investors needs the clarity of a pipeline update. The formats below cover the films we are asked for most in this sector.

What pharma teams ask before they hire a production partner
A production partner in healthcare is judged less on the camera and more on how it handles risk. These are the five questions procurement, compliance and brand teams raise most often, and how we answer them.
01.
How do you work with MLR review?
We build the review into the plan. Scripts arrive at the committee annotated with the reference behind every claim, rough cuts are reviewed against the approved script, and each round has an agreed scope, so feedback converges instead of reopening decisions that were already signed off.
02.
What if a patient mentions an adverse event on camera?
We agree the adverse event procedure with your pharmacovigilance team before the shoot. Everyone on set knows what counts as a reportable event, who records it and how fast it reaches your safety team, so an unscripted interview never becomes a compliance problem.
03.
How do you protect patient privacy?
Patients and caregivers sign releases written or approved by your legal team, and we film only what those releases cover. For US productions we follow your HIPAA requirements for protected health information, and footage that identifies patients stays in restricted folders.
04.
Can you keep claims and safety information balanced?
On promotional films, important safety information and fair balance are designed into the structure from the script stage, not added as an end card at the last minute. Narration, supers and visuals are checked against your approved claims before the film reaches review.
05.
Can you film inside GMP and clean areas?
Yes. We plan gowning, equipment cleaning, restricted zones and escort rules with your site quality team, keep crews to the minimum the shot needs, and agree in advance what must stay out of frame, from batch records to proprietary equipment.

How we produce for pharma
Built around your review
Five stages that follow the way medical, legal and regulatory teams already work, so review is part of the schedule instead of a delay at the end of it.
Every claim.
Every market.
Pharma and healthcare
production
-
Claims and audience
We start from your approved claims, references and audience, promotional or not.
-
Annotated script
Every statement in the script is linked to its reference before it goes to review.
-
First review round
MLR or PRC review of the script, with releases and site rules agreed in parallel.
-
Shoot with medical oversight
Your medical reviewer can attend the shoot, so wording is checked on set.
-
Final review and versions
Final review, then versions for each market, language and channel.
“Reviewed before it is filmed.
Approved before it is published.”
Each review round has a scope, an owner and a deadline agreed with your team, so the launch date already includes the time your committee needs.
One approved film.
Every market that needs it.
A global healthcare film rarely runs in one version. The master is usually followed by affiliate versions with local claims and safety information, subtitled and dubbed languages, short cuts for congresses and sales representatives, and accessible versions with captions and audio description. Planning these versions before the shoot lets us capture what each market needs in one production, instead of reshooting when a country review asks for a change. Every version is tracked against the approval it belongs to, so your teams always know which file is cleared for which market.
When a film is produced across several countries, one team coordinates every location, crew and review through multi-market video production, and the same standard of craft holds from the first market to the last.

The formats healthcare teams use most
Healthcare organizations rely on films that teach. For patients, caregivers and physicians, that means working with an educational video production company that understands medical accuracy and plain language. Inside the company, quality, safety and compliance programs depend on corporate training video production that is consistent from one site to the next.
For culture and talent, scientists and plant teams telling their own stories make employee testimonial videos one of the most credible formats in the sector. Physicians and partners speaking about results belong to testimonial video production, always within the rules your compliance team sets.
Most healthcare projects combine more than one of these formats: a patient film released with a training module for field teams, or an employer brand documentary built from the same shoot as a site film. Planning them together keeps the look consistent and the review rounds shorter.
Planning a film for patients or physicians?
Twenty healthcare clients, one standard
We have produced films for 20 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, 16 of them large enterprises, including Novartis, Roche, AstraZeneca, GSK, Sanofi, Takeda, Daiichi Sankyo, Philips and Merz Aesthetics. Our teams know how a review committee reads a script, and how to keep a film human while every word is checked. The same producers manage releases, site access and review rounds from the first brief to the last affiliate version.
Pharma and healthcare questions
Short answers to what medical, compliance and communications teams ask before a project starts.
What is healthcare video production?
Healthcare video production is the creation of films for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and healthcare organizations, made for patients, healthcare professionals, employees and investors. It follows the same craft as any corporate film, with a process built around medical, legal and regulatory review, privacy rules and the safety information each market requires.
How long does MLR review add to a production schedule?
It depends on your committee, but most healthcare films need at least two review rounds, one on the script and one on the cut, and each round usually takes one to three weeks. We ask for your committee calendar at the start and plan the shoot and edit around it, so review time is already in the launch date.
Can you film real patients?
Yes, with releases approved by your legal team and the procedures your company requires. We prepare patients carefully, keep sets small and calm, agree the adverse event procedure before filming, and give every patient the chance to review how they appear when your policy allows it.
Do you produce promotional and non-promotional content?
Yes. Promotional films for physicians and patients follow your MLR or PRC process and the fair balance rules of each market. Non-promotional films, such as medical education, corporate, employee and investor content, follow the review path your medical affairs or communications team defines.
Can one film be adapted for several countries?
Yes. We plan the master with local versions in mind, so each affiliate can adapt claims, safety information, language and on-screen text without a reshoot. Each version goes through local review, and the full set is delivered with captions and the formats each country needs.
Do you work with medical device and animal health companies?
Yes. Medical device, diagnostics and animal health clients follow regulatory processes close to those of pharmaceutical companies, and the same planning applies. Our healthcare client list includes Philips, Elanco and Merz Aesthetics alongside pharmaceutical companies.
