Video Production FAQ: Working With Olive Tree Films
How contracts, payments, revisions, rights and delivery work with us.
Working with Olive Tree Films
Contracts, payments, revisions, usage rights and delivery. Questions about a video style, an industry or a location are answered at the end of each of those pages.
How many companies has Olive Tree Films worked with?
More than 400 clients since 2008, with nearly 3,000 productions delivered. Our case studies show some of these projects in detail.
What types of videos do you produce?
Advertising, institutional and educational films: commercials, corporate films, brand documentaries, customer testimonials, internal communications, training and educational videos, product launch films and branded content. See all video styles.
What is the minimum budget for a project?
Projects start at US$5,000. Each proposal is priced for its scope: the number of videos, shooting days, locations, cast, animation and languages.
How quickly do you reply to a new request?
We usually reply within 24 hours on business days. Then we schedule a 20-minute Google Meet call to understand the project before we send a proposal.
What does your proposal include?
The scope and the list of deliverables, with the duration, aspect ratio, language, captions and channel of each video. It also sets out production assumptions, what we need from your team, approval milestones, revision rounds and delivery dates, and states whether raw footage or editable project files are included.
Which company signs the contract?
Clients outside Brazil sign with Olive Tree Films, LLC, our US company in Miami. Clients in Brazil sign with our Brazilian company.
In which currency are contracts?
Every contract outside Brazil is in US dollars.
How can we pay?
By bank transfer to one of our global accounts, held with Wise, C6 Bank, Itaú, Nomad and Banco Safra in several countries.
What are your payment terms?
Payment terms are set in each proposal, according to the size and schedule of the project.
Do you carry liability insurance?
Yes. Olive Tree Films carries general liability insurance in the United States.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Two. We ask your team to consolidate all comments in each round. We separate corrections of our own errors from requested adjustments, and we assess the cost and timing of any change to an approved direction before we make it.
How long can we use the videos?
For life, when the video has no hired actors. When hired actors appear, usage runs for one year.
Is music included?
Yes. Every project includes royalty-free music. Original music composed for your film is quoted separately.
Do you deliver raw footage and project files?
Only when the proposal includes them. We state upfront whether raw footage, editable project files or other assets are part of the delivery.
How do we receive the final files?
Organized by channel or purpose, with clear file names, a delivery list and short guidance on which file to use where. We also tell you how long the files will stay available.
Who manages our project day to day?
One person coordinates your project from start to finish: scope, schedule, communication and decisions. An operations lead oversees all projects, so priorities and capacity stay balanced.
Do you offer live streaming?
No. Olive Tree Films no longer offers live streaming. We focus on films planned, produced and edited for each channel.
Is Olive Tree Films registered with ANCINE?
Yes. Olive Tree Films is registered with ANCINE, Brazil’s national film agency, and has handled many foreign productions filming in Brazil.
