Our approach
We make films for a living, so we take copyright seriously, both our own and everyone else’s. Olive Tree Films, LLC respects the intellectual property of others and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Most films on this website were produced by us for our clients and are shown with their permission. If you believe content on this website infringes your copyright, please follow the process below.
How to submit a notice
Send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- a description of the material you believe is infringing and where it appears on the website, with the page address (URL) if possible;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Notices that do not include this information may not be valid under the DMCA.

What happens next
When we receive a valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material. We may share a copy of your notice, including your contact details, with the person who provided the material, so that they can respond.
Counter-notice
If material you provided was removed and you believe this happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Olive Tree Films may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days, unless the person who sent the original notice informs us that they have filed a court action to stop the infringement.
Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. If you are not sure whether material infringes your rights, please consider seeking legal advice before sending a notice.
Repeat infringers
Where appropriate, we will stop working with or disable the access of people who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
Other intellectual property concerns
If your concern is about a trademark, a person’s image, or rights under the laws of another country, you can also write to our designated agent. We will review every good faith request. The use of this website is governed by our Terms of Service.
